Work Environment\n

This position allows for a flexible work setting by enabling therapists to operate remotely while also engaging with patients in an outpatient office. Our therapists typically follow a structured schedule of Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some allowances for flexibility based on the unique needs of our patients. With a focus on empathy and support, our practice encourages initiatives such as regular team meetings and consultations to ensure cohesive care.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify individual patient needs and collaboratively develop tailored treatment plans that address their specific challenges.

  • Utilize diverse therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to guide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions.

  • Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups, fostering community and connections among patients dealing with similar issues.

  • Work alongside psychiatrists, psychologists, and various multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care effectively, ensuring a holistic approach.

  • Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, assisting patients in achieving stability and linking them to necessary resources.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines, while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will involve working with a diverse clientele that includes children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a variety of mental health challenges. You will be equipped to address conditions ranging from mild anxiety to severe mood disorders, all while fostering a safe and confidential environment for healing.

Qualifications\n

  • Possession of a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • A valid, current license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Virginia.

Compensation and Benefits\n
