Data Center Cable Technician

We're looking for motivated Data Center Cable Technicians with at least 6 months of structured cabling experience to support ongoing projects in the Kansas City area. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable data center experience, expand your technical skills, and work alongside seasoned industry professionals.

• Install, route, dress, and label copper and fiber optic cabling
• Install cable tray, fiber runner, and structured cabling pathways
• Terminate and test CAT5, CAT6, and fiber optic cabling
• Perform cable testing and troubleshooting
• Assist with rack-and-stack installations and network equipment build-outs
• Follow project drawings, specifications, and installation standards
• Maintain organized work areas and job site material management
• Ensure quality workmanship and proper labeling standards throughout installations

• Minimum 6 months of structured cabling experience
• Experience with CAT5/CAT6 cabling installations
• Experience pulling, dressing, labeling, and terminating cable
• Familiarity with cable tray installations
• Experience testing copper and/or fiber cabling
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in active construction or data center environments
• OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain before starting

• Fiber optic installation and testing experience
• Fusion splicing experience
• OTDR testing experience
• Rack-and-stack experience
• Experience working in data centers, MDF/IDF environments, or commercial construction projects

• Data Center environment
• Monday through Friday
• 8-10 hour shifts
• Overtime opportunities available

This is a Contract position based out of Kansas City, MO.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Kansas City,MO.
