Role Overview
\nThe Industrial Engineer will analyze, design, and optimize production workflows, equipment layouts, labor utilization, and product flow in an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role involves hands-on process improvement, time studies, capacity analysis, and continuous optimization of shop-floor operations.
\n \nKey Responsibilities
\n✔ Analyze and design sequence of operations and workflow to improve production efficiency
\n✔ Optimize equipment layouts , workstations , and plant flow for maximum productivity
\n✔ Establish methods to maximize utilization of production facilities , tools , and personnel
\n✔ Support accident-prevention measures and safety improvement initiatives
\n✔ Conduct studies related to cost control , cost reduction , inventory management , and production records
\n✔ Develop and implement optimized product flow based on data analysis
\n✔ Assist facilities engineering in planning and designing new/modified facilities
\n✔ Develop and provide time standards , standard work , and work instructions for shop-floor operations
\n✔ Perform capacity analysis , tool/equipment utilization studies , and line balancing
\n✔ Conduct trend analysis of production KPIs to identify improvement opportunities
\n✔ Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, 5S, etc.)
\n✔ Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations teams to drive efficiency
\nMandatory Skills & Qualifications
\nBE/BTech/MTech/MS in Aerospace / Industrial / Mechanical Engineering
\n1–4 years of hands-on experience in Industrial Engineering
\nStrong aerospace domain understanding
\nPractical experience with:
\n• Time studies
\n• Line balancing
\n• Capacity planning
\n• Production layout optimization
\n• Shop-floor process improvement
\nKnowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
\nStrong analytical and documentation skills
\n \nNice-to-Have
\n✨ Experience in composite or metallic aerospace manufacturing
\n✨ Exposure to SAP, MES, or production monitoring systems
\n✨ Familiarity with FAA/EASA-regulated work environments
