PATIENT CARE TECH - FLOAT POOL (PRN)

Position Summary Works under the direction of a licensed nurse to assist in meeting the physical and psychosocial needs of patients in a professional and timely manner. Performs various tasks as competency documentation designates. Provides direct care with limited invasive procedures. Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities Assist patients with basic care‑giving skills, manage patient activities, maintain effective communication, and demonstrate time management. Qualifications Reading and numerical competency. BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course as per RQI program guidelines; all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting. Handle With Care within 6 months of hire. Must have effective communication and time management skills.
