Outpatient Child & Adolescent Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) - Caledonia Clinic (Full-Time)

Location: Caledonia Clinic (outpatient clinic) What Will You Do? As a Clinical Psychologist at Pine Rest, you’ll be part of a tight‑knit team that believes in the healing power of expertise and compassion. Within the framework of the organization, you are responsible for providing assessment, counseling, treatment, referrals, and advocacy services for patients. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Participate in the interview and assessment of persons served, including mental status examination and review of records from other patient care staff. Select and complete appropriate therapeutic interventions based on clinical knowledge and educational background, including individual, group, family, experiential, and evidence‑based models. Collaborate with other treatment team members regarding patients’ progress through interdisciplinary team meetings, record review, and informal discussions. Ensure compliance with medical record documentation protocols and timely entry of progress notes into the medical records. Coordinate services and community resources as needed and assist persons served in obtaining them. Participate regularly in departmental and staff meetings; serve on programs or organizational committees as required. Maintain all Michigan licensure requirements. Build knowledge of current trends and developments in treatment and counseling through professional literature, workshops, and publications; fulfill continuing education requirements per PRCMHS departmental policies. Participate in education and training programs for persons served, families, or community groups. Write behavior management plans for patients as part of consultation, if needed. Provide consultation to professionals, hospitals, organizations, or agencies outside of Pine Rest. Encourage membership and involvement in local, state, and national professional organizations. What Does This Role Require? Current state license or degree from a program accredited by the American Psychological Association. Fully licensed psychologist. One to two years of postgraduate clinical experience to gain an adequate understanding of PRCMHS policies and procedures, and to develop skills in patient assessment and treatment planning. May be required to apply to become a member of the Affiliate or Courtesy Affiliate Medical Staff.
