Full-Time | Office-Based | Reports to Purchasing Supervisor
About the Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Expeditor to keep our supply chain moving. In this role, you'll own the day-to-day follow-up of purchase orders, coordinate between vendors and internal teams, and ensure our inventory is stocked and orders arrive on time. You'll be a key link between the Purchasing, Sales, and Receiving departments.
What You'll Do

• Monitor and expedite stock and custom purchase orders daily using follow-up reports and priority lists
• Track estimated ship dates, hold vendors to quoted lead times, and flag issues to Buyers proactively
• Communicate order status and availability updates to Sales and Buyers
• Manage the full PT tape and label order process, including data entry, proof approvals, and shipment follow-up
• Handle certification requests, NAFTA certificates, and new vendor onboarding packets
• Process inbound material receipts and reconcile discrepancies with the Receiving department
• Maintain purchasing files - purchase orders, quote documentation, custom/direct samples
• Print and prepare product identification labels for vendors as needed
• Support corrective action documentation and monitor vendor response timelines
• Assist with special projects and reports as directed by Purchasing Management

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of related purchasing, supply chain, or administrative experience
• Strong data entry skills and comfort working in multiple computer systems simultaneously
• Self-starter who can prioritize a varied workload and stay on top of deadlines
• Clear communicator - comfortable corresponding with vendors and internal teams daily
• Sound judgment and problem-solving ability in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills including discounts, percentages, and quantity calculations
• Experience with label software or purchasing systems is a plus

Work Environment

This is a primarily desk-based role in a moderate-noise office setting. Occasional light lifting (up to 20 lbs) may be required.
