Diesel Mechanic
Autonomy Staffing is seeking an experienced and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join the team of our valued client in Ladson, SC. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems in a variety of vehicles and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel engines and associated components.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues or required repairs.
- Repair or replace defective parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet job requirements and ensure quality work.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, systems, and troubleshooting methods.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid drivers license (CDL is a plus).
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in diesel mechanics is a plus.
