Remote Provider Credentialing Specialist (Temporary Contract)

We are partnering with a provider-led healthcare organization specializing in value-based primary care and health insurance for senior living and skilled nursing residents to hire a Provider Credentialing Specialist. This role is open due to seasonal volume and offers an opportunity to make an immediate impact-apply today!

Overview:

• 3-month contract assignment
• Fully remote
• M-F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST
• Pay: $22-$26/hr (DOE)
• Start Date: September 28
• Equipment provided
• Hiring ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Perform full-cycle provider credentialing for a health plan network
• Review and process provider applications to ensure compliance with credentialing standards
• Maintain accurate provider records and documentation
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Utilize credentialing systems, SharePoint, and Excel to track and manage applications
• Support risk mitigation and member safety through proper credentialing practices
• Meet production expectations of 250 provider applications per month

Requirements:

• 3+ years of provider credentialing experience
• Must have experience working with or for a health plan
• Experience using SharePoint
• Proficient in Excel and credentialing software
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet production goals
