Machine Builder Elgin, IL $23.00 - $30.00/hour Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Temp-to-Hire We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for assembling, installing, and testing complex machinery according to engineering drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing high-quality work, has strong mechanical aptitude, and is committed to accuracy, craftsmanship, and safety. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to build equipment accurately to specifications. Assemble machinery using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment while maintaining exceptional workmanship and quality standards. Perform quality inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure accuracy, alignment, and functionality. Test, troubleshoot, and verify machine performance to ensure reliable operation and adherence to specifications. Support continuous improvement efforts focused on quality, efficiency, and workplace safety. Qualifications High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training preferred. Minimum 3 years of machine building or mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical troubleshooting. Demonstrated commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work with exceptional attention to detail.
