Senior Systems Engineer - Cryptographic SystemsJoin a cross-functional team developing, specifying, and testing mission-critical Department of War cybersecurity devices. You will design security architectures and protocols, develop cryptographic key-management strategies, and perform hands-on testing in the Interoperability Test Bed (ITB) for secure voice, data, and conferencing solutions.Develop security architectures, cryptographic specifications, and secure communication protocols.Define and support cryptographic key-management strategies.Create test plans and execute black-box testing for cybersecurity devices.Lead integration, interoperability, verification, and validation activities in the ITB.Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, and test engineering teams to deliver secure mission solutions.Identify opportunities to apply AI to improve engineering processes and technical outcomes.Experience with cryptographic algorithms and secure communication systems.Experience writing technical specifications and test plans.Experience performing black-box testing of complex systems.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across a multidisciplinary team.Creative, practical problem-solving across the systems development lifecycle.Familiarity with cybersecurity devices supporting secure voice, data, and conferencing applications.Awareness of evolving technology trends and a drive to improve processes.A collaborative mindset and commitment to individual and team growth.A dynamic career solving meaningful national-security challenges, with professional-development opportunities, a flexible 9/80 schedule, and competitive benefits including 401(k) matching, paid parental leave, healthcare, and wellness programs.
