- Cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical population
- Call required
- Weekend call required
- 80-mile radius rule
Schedule
- 10-hour day shifts
- Shift options:
- 0700–1700
- 0900–1900
Required License / Certifications
- NC RN License or Compact RN License
- AHA BLS

Cardiac Cases
- CABG
- Valve repair and replacement
- Minimally invasive and robotic valves

Vascular Cases
- Open/endovascular abdominal aneurysm repair
- Peripheral vascular procedures
- Carotid stenting

- Amputations
Thoracic Cases
- Open thoracotomy
- VATS
- Esophageal/hernia repairs
- Bronchoscopy
- Esophagoscopy
- Robotics
Role Expectations
- Circulating RN will manage overall nursing care in the OR
- Maintain a safe, organized, and comfortable surgical environment
- Work closely with scrub techs/scrub nurses to complete surgical counts
- Support sterile field maintenance, specimen handling, equipment flow, and overall OR safety
- Strong CVOR circulating experience needed due to cardiac, vascular, and thoracic case mix.
