Intermediate SMT Operator (2nd Shift 2:30pm-12:00am)

Responsibilities: Set up machines: screen printer, Pick & Place, and reflow oven Perform loading and unloading to and from the machine independently Set up the feeder for the machine according to the setup Perform simple machine changeovers Identify basic SMT components Set up SMT parts to correct the feeder Ensure all process tools, stencils or fixtures are in‑house before starting the set‑up process Alert supervisory and maintenance colleagues regarding required equipment repairs Ensure assembled product meets compliance standards Work closely with SMT process engineer Work overtime as required Required Qualifications: 2–3 years of experience in an SMT environment High school diploma or equivalent Prior contract manufacturing experience is a plus but will be trained Experience with component packages Knowledge of tape‑and‑reel operator and feeder loading Good understanding of bill of materials (BOM) and assembly drawings Fluent with SMT package sizes and component identification Experience reading, comprehending, and following work instructions Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs Perform other duties as assigned Follow all PPE, safety, and environmental compliance procedures Work overtime as necessary Preferred Qualifications: Basic knowledge of IPC‑610 and J‑STD‑001 Safe and accurate machine operation with minimal supervision Computer literate with Microsoft Office and other basic programs Ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment Excellent communication skills Team player Security Requirement: This position requires access to information that is subject to U.S. export regulations.
