CT Technologist – Contract (Radiology / CT Imaging)

Location: New York, NY
Duration: 9 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Hours: 37 hours/week (12:00 AM – 8:00 AM)

Pay Rate: $69 – $87/hour (depends on experience)

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a short-term contract assignment in a high-volume hospital Radiology department. The technologist will perform advanced CT imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, radiation protection, and adherence to diagnostic imaging standards.

Schedule Details

• Monday to Friday
• Night Shift: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
• 37 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License (L.R.T.)
• ARRT Certification in Radiography and CT required
• Minimum 1 year recent CT experience
• Current BLS Certification
• Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and radiation safety

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging procedures following established hospital protocols
• Optimize imaging parameters (kV/mA) for quality and safety
• Conduct daily equipment calibration and quality control checks
• Prepare and assess patients before, during, and after CT procedures
• Administer contrast materials per physician orders and protocols
• Ensure accurate handling and documentation of radiopharmaceuticals
• Maintain imaging records, logs, and charge documentation
• Follow ALARA radiation safety principles at all times
• Monitor equipment performance and report technical issues
• Support radiologists with accurate diagnostic imaging data
• Maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards

• Advanced CT imaging techniques and protocols
• Contrast administration and patient monitoring
• Radiation safety and quality assurance practices
• PACS/RIS/EMR system proficiency preferred
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in overnight shift environment
