About the Position

Job Opportunity – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) RN – Maryland

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Four 12-hour shifts per week; 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio; every other weekend required; floating to IMC as needed; 36 guaranteed hours per week

Highlights:

• Diverse patient population including trauma, cardiovascular, stroke, and neuro cases
• Comprehensive ICU experience with advanced equipment including CRRT, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and intraventricular drains (EVDs)
• Epic EMR system utilized for charting and documentation
• 24-hour orientation period with robust interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• 18-patient daily census in a 24-bed unit with medical, surgical, trauma, cardiovascular, stroke, and neuro patient mix
• One pre-approved time-off request available during assignment

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Maryland (pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 3 years of ICU nursing experience preferred (strong candidates with 2+ years will be considered)
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 1:2 patient ratios in acute care settings
• Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, arterial line management, vasoactive drip titration, and care of complex cardiovascular and neurological patients
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (no exemptions)
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
