Summary

Looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the daily management and execution of construction on multiple large, complex projects, partnering closely with the site superintendent on safety, quality, scheduling, and contract administration. You'll also be actively involved in preconstruction, either ahead of or overlapping with the build. Must be commutable to Rockville, MD.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction support: cost estimates, scopes of work, preliminary schedules, site logistics, and unit price take-offs
• Negotiate and issue subcontract agreements and purchase orders
• Develop and update detailed project schedules in coordination with the superintendent, trade partners, and suppliers
• Lead project meetings with owners, the design team, and trade partners, documenting and following up on action items
• Manage MEP and low voltage systems coordination, including HVAC, plumbing, life safety, controls, AV, security, and voice/data
• Enforce the safety program, resolve issues from safety reports, and keep safety walks on a regular cadence
• Lead project closeout, including punch lists, closeout documentation, and resolving financial closeout
• Manage trade partner submittals, RFIs, change orders, and schedules, and mentor junior team members along the way

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction experience with a general contractor
• Strong understanding of engineering and construction project management principles, including safety standards
• Comfortable managing and leading junior team members, with a track record of developing their skills
• Skilled at organizing, assessing, and prioritizing multiple projects and competing demands
• Strong decision making, research, and analytical problem solving skills
• Track record managing financial forecasting, reporting, and owner invoicing on active projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent construction experience
• Project management and scheduling software experience
• CPR/First Aid, OSHA 30 hour, and sustainability certifications (LEED, WELL, ILFI) preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be commutable to Rockville, MD

Compensation and benefits

• $134K-$180K base, depending on experience
• Annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance
