Salary: $70,000 – $85,000 per year

About the Opportunity

Our Client is seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join its outpatient rehabilitation team in Milltown, New Jersey.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans based on each patient's diagnosis, functional limitations, and goals.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, stretching, strengthening, balance, mobility, and functional activities.
• Provide appropriate hands-on therapeutic interventions as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Monitor patients throughout treatment and communicate changes in condition or progress to the Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients regarding exercises, proper movement patterns, home exercise programs, and injury prevention.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Establish positive relationships with patients and contribute to a welcoming treatment environment.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists and other members of the clinical team to provide coordinated patient care.
• Follow professional, clinical, and regulatory standards.

Patient Population

The PTA may work with a diverse outpatient population, including patients recovering from:

• Orthopedic injuries
• Sports injuries
• Back and neck conditions
• Joint and muscle injuries
• Post-surgical procedures
• Chronic pain
• Motor vehicle accidents
• Balance and gait difficulties
• Mobility limitations
• Other musculoskeletal and functional conditions

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current New Jersey PTA license or eligibility for New Jersey licensure.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a clinical team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care.
• New graduates and experienced PTAs are encouraged to apply.
