This isn't just a job, it's a chance to lead change, drive progress, and leave a lasting legacy.In the role of Senior Project Manager, we'll count on you to:Direct and coordinate work of multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development and initiation to close-out)Be responsible for all aspects of large complex planning and engineering projects with high degree of technical and political complexity, involving a large project teamProduce and coordinate several projects concurrentlyEstablish and maintain client relations, and be involved with contractual, planning, and engineering meetingsBe responsible for quality and all deliverables to the clientBe responsible for client relations and serve as the primary point of contactDirect all work associated with the projectsBe responsible for the overall financial health of the projectsTrack financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and scheduleCoordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on scheduleWork with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviewsImplement quality assurance and quality control proceduresPerform risk management and mitigation proceduresSupervise large project teams and act as mentorPerform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications:Master's degreePMP CertificationCalifornia Professional Engineer (PE) license or Professional Geologist (PG) licenseStrong leadership skills with experience building a cohesive team culture and managing team members located in various locationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsComfortable facilitating teams and presenting to client and in a public settingFamiliar with the various types of tools used to manage programs – Project Management Information System (PMIS), scheduling, cost control, document management, risk management, dashboard analytics, etc.Experience with water resources planning and management, XM Planning, water supply reliability studies, climate resiliency plans, or other related studiesMay require the ability to travelRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in related field10 years related experienceA minimum of 5 years of project management experienceFamiliar with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management softwareAbility to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustOur Commitment:As employee owners, we all have a role in creating an inclusive environment where each of us is welcomed, valued, respected, and empowered to bring our authentic selves to work every day.
