Shipping and Receiving Specialist

This role focuses on shipping and receiving activities within a clean manufacturing environment, ensuring accurate inventory management and smooth warehouse transactions. You will work with SAP to manage stock, support production-related processes, and handle process orders and email communications, depending on shift assignment.

Responsibilities:

• Handle daily shipping and receiving activities, including verifying incoming and outgoing materials and ensuring accurate documentation.
• Manage stock requirements and maintain a clear overview of inventory levels to support production and logistics needs.
• Perform inventory management tasks such as counting, tracking, and reconciling stock to maintain accurate records.
• Execute warehouse transactions, including stock transfers and other movements, using SAP and established procedures.
• Support production-related SAP processes by entering and updating data, reviewing orders, and ensuring information accuracy.
• Create process orders in SAP for day-shift roles, ensuring all relevant details are correct and timely.
• Monitor and respond to emails related to orders, shipments, inventory, and production support.
• Review and manage orders within SAP, identifying and resolving discrepancies or issues promptly.
• Operate within assigned shifts, including 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift roles, adhering to scheduled hours and production timelines.
• Follow established safety, hygiene, and operational procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Use basic math skills and mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor issues related to equipment, measurements, and inventory counts.
• Collaborate with production, logistics, and other teams to ensure materials are available when needed and shipments are processed on time.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area within the warehouse and production support spaces.
• Utilize forklifts and other material-handling equipment as needed, if qualified and trained.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline shipping, receiving, and inventory processes.

Essential Skills:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis to handle materials and products.
• Good computer skills, including the ability to work with systems such as SAP and email applications.
• Prior manufacturing experience in a production or warehouse environment.
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and reconciling inventory.
• Mechanical aptitude to understand and work with manufacturing and warehouse equipment.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes in a logistics or manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of inventory and warehouse management practices.
• Ability to work assigned shifts, including early morning, afternoon, overnight, or standard day shifts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Prior chemical manufacturing or processing experience.
• Experience in in-plant operations, ink production, or pressroom environments.
• Color matching experience in printing or ink-related processes.
• Forklift experience and ability to safely operate material-handling equipment.
• Chemical operator experience in a manufacturing or processing facility.
• Familiarity with SAP for logistics, warehouse management, and production-related transactions.
• Previously worked in logistics, inventory control, or warehouse management.
• Willingness to wear provided uniforms and appropriate safety footwear, supported by a boot voucher.

Work Environment:

The role is based in a manufacturing environment that is notably clean for a chemical plant, reflecting a strong commitment to safety and hygiene. Multiple shift options are available: 1st shift from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, 2nd shift from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, 3rd shift from 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM, and day-shift roles from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, providing varied scheduling opportunities. You will work with technologies such as SAP for production-related processes, warehouse management, and order handling, as well as standard computer and email systems. The environment includes typical manufacturing and warehouse equipment, potentially including forklifts and other material-handling tools. The company provides uniforms and a boot voucher of $150 to support appropriate attire and safety footwear, and maintains organized, clean workspaces that support efficient operations and safe working conditions.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
