The VA Northern California Health Care System is seeking a Fee Basis Gastroenterologist to join our team at the Sacramento VA Medical Center in Mather, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated physician who wants flexibility while serving the nation s Veterans in a modern, well supported clinical environment.
Position Highlights
- Provide outpatient Gastroenterology care, including consults, follow-up visits, and procedure-based care as assigned
- Perform general GI procedures such as EGD and colonoscopy
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including GI nurses, APPs, and internal medicine partners
- Flexible scheduling based on availability
- No call requirements for Fee Basis providers
- Support from an established GI program with modern equipment and experienced staff
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Unrestricted medical license (any U.S. state or territory)
- Ability to obtain VA privileges and complete credentialing
- Prior VA experience helpful but not required
