Job Summary and Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-focused care. Working alongside medical professionals, the RN provides both pre-operative and post-operative nursing services, acting as a patient advocate to ensure an outstanding patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in status.
• Carry out procedures or tasks as directed by the medical provider.
• Accurately document care provided in the patient’s medical record in a timely manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
• Stay informed about medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Qualifications Required:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
• Associate Degree in nursing is necessary.
• This is a full-time night position.
• Experience in a step-down ICU unit is preferred.
• At least one year of experience in medical/surgical or progressive care units is desirable.
