Associate Attorney – Insurance Defense Litigation

We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our litigation team. The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance defense litigation , with a strong preference for candidates who also have experience handling labor law matters and trials . This position offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload, handle matters from inception through resolution, and work closely with clients, insurance carriers, and senior attorneys.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle a diverse caseload involving insurance defense, general liability, labor law, and related litigation matters .
\n
• Manage cases through all stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation.
\n
• Represent clients at court appearances, hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
\n
• Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, legal correspondence, reports, and other litigation documents.
\n
• Conduct legal research and develop effective case strategies.
\n
• Communicate regularly and professionally with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
\n
• Analyze liability, damages, and potential exposure and provide timely case assessments and recommendations.
\n
• Maintain accurate case files, billing records, and documentation in accordance with firm and client requirements.
\n
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and litigation teams to effectively manage cases and achieve favorable resolutions.

Qualifications

\n
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
\n
• Active license to practice law in the applicable state.
\n
• 2+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation preferred.
\n
• Experience handling labor law matters strongly preferred .
\n
• Trial experience or substantial trial preparation experience is a plus.
\n
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
\n
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures and case management.
\n
• Ability to independently manage a caseload while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
\n
• Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and ability to effectively communicate with clients and other stakeholders.
