Collections Manager

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Collections Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $70,000 to $80,000 per year.


Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage outstanding debts and account discrepancies.
• Engage with tenants to secure timely payments, set up payment plans, and communicate account statuses.
• Draft and send essential documents such as demand letters and oversee legal defaults.
• Maintain and update tenant certificates of insurance.
• Review portfolio of accounts and send out monthly statements.
• Develop detailed reports of progress and collections for internal collections meetings with Sr. Management.
• Draft reports and analysis of judicial case projections and coordinate with our legal team as appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in collections or similar roles, with a preference for experience in the retail real estate sector.
• Proficiency in MRI or Yardi property management software, with a strong preference for MRI.
• Skilled in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Experience:

• Excellent customer service and critical thinking skills, capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to interpret commercial retail leases.
• Strong mathematical, organizational, and analytical abilities.
