Base pay range $110,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Rello Search Partners Rello Search Partners is recruiting for a Director of Accounting Operations with our client in Tampa to manage the department and staff. Our client is a private company in the real estate and property management services industry with multiple locations throughout the Tampa Bay area. This is a high visibility role reporting to the CFO and managing a large accounting department of 30+ staff to include 3-4 direct reports. ** Only local candidates residing in Tampa and able to work onsite for the first 3-6 months then hybrid 3 days onsite will be considered for the position. This is NOT a remote role. ** Responsibilities: Lead, manage, mentor and develop the accounting department consisting of 30+ staff and 3-4 direct reports. Provide accurate and timely recording of accounting transaction activities in accordance with US GAAP. This includes the preparation, review, and approval of monthly financial statements and applicable annual attest engagements / tax returns in a timely manner based on established deadlines. Responsible for ensuring internal controls are in place according to Corporate requirements. Ensure monthly financials prepared by Accountants are reviewed prior to distribution. Manage the accounting team performance with a focus on development and training. Provide timely information to external auditors to ensure timely completion of attest engagements/tax returns. Develop and implement consistent policies, procedures, accounting principles, best practices and reporting requirements throughout the accounting organization and ensures appropriate cross-training. Foster collaborative relationships with cross functional stakeholders with a focus on customer service.
