Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Lead Toddler Teacher plays a vital role in designing and implementing an engaging curriculum while managing daily classroom activities and supervising children. Reporting directly to the Center Director, this role emphasizes fostering an enriching learning environment through strong leadership, effective communication with parents, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The Lead Toddler Teacher is dedicated to supporting both children’s developmental progress and staff professional growth.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement curriculum tailored to toddler developmental needsManage daily classroom operations and maintain a safe, nurturing environmentPlan and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with educational goalsCommunicate regularly with parents regarding child progress and classroom updatesAssess children’s developmental progress and adapt lessons accordinglyEnsure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standardsFacilitate staff training and professional development initiativesRequired QualificationsMinimum 2 years of experience in early childhood educationPreferred QualificationsChild Development Associate credential or equivalentStrong knowledge of child development principlesExpertise in lesson planning and classroom managementSkillful in behavioral observation and interventionExcellent communication skills with parents and team membersCreative approach to curriculum developmentPatience and empathy in working with toddlers\nCompany DescriptionJoin Our Family!We are a small, intimate childcare center located in the heart of the Fishtown section of Philadelphia.
