Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 12 Months Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Must be in hand prior to start date Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required; TNCC preferred Must-Have: - Charge experience preferred - Patient ratio experience: 4 Description: This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room. The nurse will work in a 15-bed emergency unit. The position requires 3 shifts per week. Local candidates are not accepted. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the emergency department. Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS are mandatory; TNCC is preferred. The work setting involves a general emergency department serving both adult and pediatric patients. Key skills required include interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of dysrhythmias. Nurses must be capable of IV therapy and phlebotomy, including blood product administration and central line care. The role requires administration of continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors. Experience with cerebrovascular accidents is essential. Nurses must adhere to isolation precautions and manage triage effectively. The daily census in the unit is approximately 60 patients. Floating to other units or affiliate hospitals is required. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Two supervisor references are required for this position. Travelers must comply with specific guidelines regarding breaks and eligibility.
