Associate Medical Laboratory Technician

The position is responsible for technical Medical Laboratory Technician bench duties within the laboratory, for the assigned section(s). The position performs routine and complex tests in any of these potential sections (as assigned): Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Microbiology, Molecular, and Immunohematology. The position has responsibility for planning, performing and evaluating laboratory testing analysis; and establishing and/or maintaining communications with physicians, patients, other hospital personnel, professional associations, and other organizations. Required Qualifications Associate's Degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution. Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Medical Laboratory Technician - American Society for Clinical Pathology. Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Medical Laboratory Technician - American Medical Technologists. Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Medical Laboratory Technician - American Association of Bioanalysts. Experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting.
