Youth Pastor
Purpose: The principle function of the Youth Pastor is to serve as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ and to lead the youth ministry of FBC Manning.
Qualifications:
1. Must be a Christian.
2. Must be called by God to ministry.
3. Must have completed four years of college and/or a seminary degree.
4. Must be committed to the fellowship and ministries of the church.
Supervisor: Supervised by the Lead Pastor.
Responsibilities as Youth Pastor
- Oversee the ministries and activities for 6th -12th grades.
- Prepare and teach the youth Sunday school class.
- Prepare and teach the Wednesday evening youth Bible study.
- Prepare and publish a youth ministry calendar to present at the Church Council.
- Plan and lead “extra” activities (may include events like: retreats, “fun” trips, etc.)
- Plan and lead the annual youth mission trip.
- Plan and execute fundraisers for the youth mission trip.
- Attend students’ extracurricular events.
- Maintain communication with the parents of FBC Manning.
- Develop and recommend a youth ministry budget.
- Attend monthly deacon’s meetings.
