Part-Time Hematology Medical Technologist / Medical Lab Technician

Work Schedule

• Tues, Thurs, Fri: 11:00p-7:30a

JOB SUMMARY:

The individual in this role, a licensed Medical Technician, is accountable for daily sample processing tasks and performs standard procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Receive and process specimens as per department protocols
• Meet productivity expectations set by departmental guidelines
• Follow all laboratory safety precautions and procedures
• Assist with administrative tasks such as ordering supplies
• Produce, interpret, and report accurate test results
• Communicate section information to the appropriate personnel
• Conduct instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
• Assist in maintaining effective department QA programs
• Collaborate with other departments within the organization
• Adhere to Corporate Compliance Program and policies

EDUCATION & LICENSURE:

• Associate's degree in a relevant field or medical technology
• Valid ASCP or AMT certification
• Maintain continuing education for certification

REQUIREMENTS:

• One year of preferred job-related experience
• Students or recent graduates eligible for ASCP or AMT exams can apply
