The ideal candidate will possess a mix of emotional and intellectual intelligence, exceptional team management skills and a deep understanding of the vendor risk management and onboarding space. The role is full time, based in Miami, FL.Key Responsibilities:Provide subject matter expertise and collaborate with various stakeholders to maintain and enhance enterprise global third-party risk management program and onboarding programsDefine and manage data gathering, preparation, and execution of third-party risk and onboarding assessments for new vendors and technologies, and guide regular risk reviews for high and critical vendorsDevelop and execute remediation actions, mitigations, and contingency plans for identified risksDesign and execute process enhancements to risk management and onboarding programs, including updates to policies and procedures, to ensure timely and thorough deliveryManage team focusing on performance as well as talent identification and developmentCollaborate with sourcing, legal and compliance, and IT teams to review contracts ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standardsProvide management and oversight to remote external vendor currently performing risk management activitiesEnsure compliance with global risk management regulatory requirements, performing regular monitoring of regulatory standards and drive readiness for upcoming changesMaintain vendor risk databases and communicate risk assessments findings across the organizationEstablish and publish KPIs and SLAs to evaluate the effectiveness of area and initiativesUnderstand risk management and onboarding platforms and systems, acting as subject matter expert in functionality, identifying areas of improvements, and leading projects to implement such improvementsBuild communication and escalation plans around third-party risk and onboarding activitiesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with individuals and groups involved in the third-party risk management and onboarding programs Identify and report suspicious activityStay informed about area and industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologiesQualifications:15+ years of professional experience with at least 10 years of experience in vendor risk management (or compliance) and onboarding, preferably in financial services sectorIn depth knowledge of vendor risk and onboarding activities processes, and procedures, especially around third-party risk management. Proven track record of successfully designing and managing global programsFamiliarity with third-party risk management frameworksStrategic mindset with sound financial and business acumen, and well-defined decision-making skillsDynamic team player, proactive, self-starter with outmost professional integrity and ethicsStrong analytical, problem solving and creative thinking skills. Experience interpreting data to make data-driven decisionsDemonstrated leadership capabilities, with proven experience building, motivating, and leading teamsResilient, curious, and experience navigating ambiguityExperience building strong relationships internally and externally with a high level of customer service orientationProficiency in third-party applications and software in the risk management space, as well as MS Office suite and other relevant software (Coupa knowledge a plus)Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, an MBA would be a plusExperience working in global and fast-paced environmentExperience managing distributed and virtual teamsThe duties and responsibilities described here are not exhaustive and additional assignments, duties, or responsibilities may be required of this position. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the roleconsist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses.
