CDL Driver

CDL DriverThe CDL Driver (Class A or B) is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional transportation of building materials, construction products, and equipment to customer locations and job sites. This role combines commercial driving responsibilities with hands-on support in loading, unloading, securing, and verifying materials while ensuring compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations and company safety standards. Depending on the business unit, deliveries may include oversized, specialized, or engineered building components. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, customer-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbsPre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the loadNotify branch management of any potential hazards on siteSet up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloadingMaintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of productsFollow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPEMust be 21 years of age or olderValid Class A or B CDL license in good standingAt least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experienceExperience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truckWillingness to work outdoors in all weather conditionsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a team401(k) with employer matchMedical, dental, and vision insurancePTO, company holidays, and parental leavePaid training and certificationsLegal assistance and identity protectionPet insuranceEmployee assistance program (EAP)QXO is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
