Practical Nursing Instructor (RN)

The opportunity We are seeking an experienced Instructor to join Stepful and support our Board of Nursing–approved Practical Nursing program. In this role, you will guide and supervise students during in‑person clinical rotations while also partnering closely with program leadership to support student success and day‑to‑day program operations. You will also teach across our skills labs and virtual didactic modules. This opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse with prior nursing education experience who enjoys mentoring students in hands‑on learning environments and wants to play an active role in helping shape and grow a Practical Nursing program. Clinical instruction takes place onsite at our partner healthcare facility in the Toledo/Maumee, Ohio area on Fridays from 6am–6pm, with scheduling aligned to program rotations. Outside of clinical instruction, this role will also support the Practical Nursing program through a variety of instructional, operational, and student support activities in collaboration with the Program Director and broader academic team. This is a full‑time opportunity with a mix of onsite and remote responsibilities depending on program needs. This role reports to the Practical Nursing Program Director. What you’ll do Lead and supervise in‑person clinical rotations at partner healthcare facilities in the Toledo/Maumee area (Fridays, 6a‑6p) Deliver curriculum content, answer student questions, and provide timely feedback Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for students Partner with the Program Director to support ongoing program operations and student success initiatives Assist with instructional, administrative, and program‑related activities as needed Serve as a subject matter expert in practical nursing education Teach across skills labs and virtual didactic, in addition to overseeing clinical rotations What you’ll bring 2+ years of experience as faculty in an RN or LPN education program 2+ years of professional experience as a Registered Nurse, with 5+ years of varied nursing experience across clinical practice, nursing education, and/or administration Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) Active, unencumbered Ohio RN license Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners, in both virtual and in‑person settings Benefits and Compensation Meaningful Equity Stake Subsidized Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plan options 401(k) FSA, HSA and commuter benefits Learning stipend Open vacation policy, including: Guidance of 15 days PTO annually Stepful closed the last week of December 15 work‑from‑anywhere days 10 public holidays observed for 2026 The target base salary range for this opportunity is $80,000 - $90,000 , and is part of a competitive total rewards package including equity and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, internal pay equity and other relevant business considerations.
