Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for wearing, and assuring the Mill crew wears, proper mandatory safety gear in designated areas/situations.

• Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and OSHA guidelines.

• Acquire proper paperwork, verify measuring devices and verify machine guards are in place prior to start of shift.

• Will, without supervision and according to standards, verify all dimensions, make tube mill adjustments, performs troubleshooting, and know all other operations related to the tube mill.

• Is responsible for product quality and ensures that products being produced are compliant to the ASTM standards or customer specifications.

• Responsible for setup and proper use of NDT Eddy Current testing device where applicable

• Check pH and Coolant concentrations on a daily basis and record on proper paperwork.

• Ensure Mill speeds are optimized in order to maximize productivity and maintain product quality.

• Gives training when required and makes sure that all elements are learned and understood.

• Fills out daily work order, inspection report and daily production log. Ensures all reports are handed in correctly and verifies all produced product is tagged correctly.

• Notifies the supervisor of any non-conformity to ensure the smooth running of the tube mill.

• Performs basic cleaning and minor repairs on mill as required.

• Maintains mill in clean and organized fashion .

• Meets productivity requirements set by management.

• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

• This person is responsible for the safe and correct operation of all the equipment on the Mill area including employees.

• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with federal, state and local standards.
