Seeking detailed oriented and organized individual for busy pulmonary office. Must be able to communicate proficiently with staff and patients. Willing to train in pulmonary diseases.

MUST be bilingual (English/Spanish). Full-time or Part-time may be considered.

Computer experience required. Knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, EHR, medical terminology preferred.

We are looking for a skilled and organized Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. You will perform a combination of various administrative and clinical tasks. Administrative responsibilities include greeting patients as they arrive, answering phone calls and emails, scheduling appointments, and updating patients’ medical records. Clinical duties include obtaining patient medical histories, recording patient vital signs, and preparing patients for examination. When necessary, you will also administer SubQ and IM injections.

Medical Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet patients and gather medical histories.
• Answer phone calls, respond to patient questions, and take messages
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments
• Prepare rooms and ensure supplies are ready.  Requires inventory management of nursing supplies.
• Assist in procedures (Six minute walks)
• Take and record patient vital signs.
• Administer IM & SubQ Injections

Medical Assistant Requirements and Qualifications

• Familiar with medical terminology
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
