Pediatric office in a multi-specialty group in need of a full time medical assistant. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create a customer-friendly environment.
- Answer phones as needed.
- Prepare rooms for the day.
- Escort patients to room; prepare patients for examinations.
- Record vital signs for well visit; chart findings.
- Administer vaccinations.
- Prepare charts for upcoming patient visits with proper paperwork necessary for the visit.
- Assist doctor as needed.
- Clean and restock rooms and equipment.
- Assist as needed with securing referrals and making specialist or test appointments.
- Relay messages as may be required by physicians.
- Assist at front desk as necessary with phones and filing.
- Copy charts and reports as needed.
- Create new patient appointments and get all necessary documentation.
- Billing knowledge is a plus; experience obtaining prior authorizations is a plus.
- Must be able to use EMR. If familiar with Medent, that is a plus.
- Miscellaneous as requested.
- Must be experienced
- Candidate must be certified as a Medical Assistant. CMA, RMA, CCMA or NCMA
- Office hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:30am-5pm. Tuesday & Thursday 8:30am -6pm
- Lunch 12noon-1pm
