The Quality of Life and Pediatric Palliative Care Division in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine/ Stanford Medicine Children’s Health is recruiting a Clinician Educator as a Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor. The Stanford Department of Pediatrics is committed to advancing the health of infants, children, and adolescents through innovative medical care, research, education, training, and advocacy. With over 400 pediatricians and pediatric subspecialties, our department is one of the largest in the Stanford University School of Medicine. Ranked among the top in the nation by US News and World Report, we attract medical students, interns, postdoctoral scholars, residents, fellows, and faculty from around the world. We offer broad-based training in general pediatrics, critical care and pediatric subspecialties within a variety of ambulatory, inpatient and community settings. Integrated with our educational activities, these programs provide hands‑on learning to equip our graduates with the skills they’ll need as future advocates of children’s health. Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. The successful applicant should be board certified/eligible and can develop and lead a program in pediatric palliative care. Exceptional candidates will lead, launch, and oversee a portfolio of clinical care and pedagogy in palliative care, including supportive care, life‑threatening disease, hospice, and end‑of‑life. The physician candidate for this post may have additional expertise in pediatric hematology, oncology, stem cell transplantation, critical care, or another subspecialty relevant to palliative care.
