Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Customer Care in Saint Louis, MO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.13 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by following site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and other security‑related policies at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and document observations, incidents, and unusual activity in accordance with post orders and reporting procedures. Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations, traffic direction, and crowd management, while maintaining professional interactions with employees and visitors. Minimum Requirements Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Customer service experience is preferred. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
