- Performing complete patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and developing tailored care plans
- Assessing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues in partnership with physicians or autonomously (as per credentialing)
- Guiding patients and families about wellness, prevention, and disease management
- Prescribing medical therapies and medications within your professional scope
- Engaging in patient follow-up and management of chronic conditions
- Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to guarantee comprehensive and cohesive care
- Creating meticulous and precise documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program
- Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Texas
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong clinical judgment combined with a nurturing bedside manner
- Outstanding communication abilities with patients, family members, and healthcare staff
- Flexibility in dynamic, patient-focused settings
- Proficiency in EMR platforms and familiarity with telehealth solutions
