Medical AssistantPride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility in Providence Village, TX 76227. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (Possibility of conversion or extension) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!Job Details:Location: Providence Village, TX 76227.Job Type: 3+ months (Possibility of extension or conversion)Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 am – 5 pmPay Range: $20-$23/hr. on W2Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.Specific Duties:Room patients, obtain vital signs, weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document findings in the EMR.Record medical history, chief complaints, and update patient health information.Assist physicians and providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.Administer medications and injections using proper aseptic techniques.Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection; maintain specimen logs.Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, and hospital pre-admissions.Process patient messages, medication refill requests, and follow-up communications.Maintain exam rooms, medical equipment, and infection control standards.Monitor clinic logs, including refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, and sterilization records.Ensure accurate EMR documentation and compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and clinic protocols.Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and other assigned duties.Requirements:Minimum of 1 yr of exp working with a licensed physician or provider.High school graduate or GED equivalentRMA (Registered Medical Assistant) or CMA (Certified Medical Assistant or willing to obtain within 180 days.Current BLS certification (through an approved American Heart Association Training Centre or the Military Training Network) at the time of hire or within 30 days of hire.Covid Card is needed.Knowledge of medical terminology required.Pride-Health offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
