Experience working in a Critical Access Hospital or rural health setting highly preferred. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska, or Compact State required. BLS issued through American Heart Association required.Essential Job Functions: Utilization Review of all hospitalized patients and ongoing case review as required by third party insurance companies; issues notices of non-coverage; screen patients for discharge planning needs and assists patients with arrangements; participates in infection control surveillance; prepares a variety of reports assigned by Chief Quality Officer; participates in infection surveillance and patient and staff education related to isolation precautions; provides Social Service staffing and is on-call for Social Services and Utilization Management. Assists patients with the formulation of advance directives; actively participates in Quality Management and Hospital Safety Programs.Shift: 8 hour days x 5 days per week, including some weekends.
