They are looking to start 2026 off on the right foot by bringing in a skilled electrical engineer for a key growth position in their Austin office. This individual will be given the unique opportunity to take on immediate responsibility within an incredibly established national firm and progress quickly under great mentorship, while also reaping the benefits of a very generous compensation package!
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution
- At least 5 years of progressive electrical engineering experience, primarily within the power industry
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Strong experience in electrical and lighting system design for industrial, higher education, healthcare, and commercial facilities
- Familiarity with electrical and energy codes and standards, including NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, and IECC
- Experience with medium-voltage distribution, generation, and protection systems preferred
- Proficiency with electrical modeling and analysis software such as SKM, ETAP, or similar tools
- Working knowledge of local codes, standards, contractors, and construction practices preferred
- Experience with lighting design and analysis preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and related design and documentation software preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated capability and interest in leading projects and coordinating across disciplines
- Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits
- Ability to maintain a consistent in-office work schedule multiple days per week
