What You Will Do Masters or doctoral prepared nurse who applies clinical expertise within a specialty area and leads in the following functions: care coordination and management, education, outcome management, research/evidence-based practice and professional development. Leadership skills (system thinker and change agent) are role assumptions. Required Qualifications Master's Degree or doctoral prepared nurse. 2 Years recent pertinent clinical experience. California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing -REQUIRED AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED Preferred Qualifications Previous educator experience. Nursing Professional Development Certification (NPD-BC) - American Nurses Credentialing Center -PREFERRED Other Qualification Requirements Certification in specialty area of practice highly desired. Essential Functions Care Coordination and Advocacy Serves as a leader and partner on the interprofessional healthcare team to enhance care coordination across settings and among caregivers.Provides consultation and collaboration to design, coordinate, and evaluate plans of care.Mentors and leads staff to be patient advocates to actively involve the patient/family in the care plan development.
