Scaler Operator

Established in 1908, RGI is the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States. Job Details Scaler Operator – Bullitt County Stone, Shepherdsville, KY Full‑time, day shift. Wages starting at $24.00/hr. Pay determined by experience and skill set. Preference for candidates with underground mining experience. Duties Operate mechanical scaling equipment to remove hazardous ground conditions from mine walls and backs. Inspect ground conditions and identify areas that require scaling or additional support. Coordinate with mine supervisors and team members to follow scaling plans and procedures. Document work performed and report ground‑control concerns to supervision immediately. Perform daily pre‑ and post‑ inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies. Follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment. Qualifications Uncompromising focus on safety excellence. At least one year of experience operating underground mining equipment (roof bolter, face drill, or scaler). Experience operating an excavator such as a Fletcher 4250 Pick Scaler, EC350 with AQ4 Milling Head, or Komatsu PC360 with AQ4 milling head. Willingness to work in an underground mining environment. Ability to operate underground mining equipment with precision in a confined space. Can work underground and outside in all types of weather and tolerate loud noises. Ability to learn new tasks quickly and be coachable. Flexible to work overtime and weekends when necessary. Self‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
