In this role, you will support our IR development and/or production programs. You may serve as the technical lead for a small program or work as part of a team performing technical planning, design, analysis, implementation, system integration, validation, and verification. Analyses are conducted at all levels, including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.This position supports the Missile Solutions (MSL) Segment, a high-performing team of talented professionals with world-class technical expertise who take a collaborative approach to engineering and enjoy working together. We have a long history of innovation and exceptional performance, earning our place as a trusted provider to our customers.Essential Functions:Systems engineering for EO/IR (Electro-Optical/Infra-Red) sensor systems.

Lead or support technical planning, system integration, validation, and verification activities in support of programs and development efforts.Judgment and Decision Making — Consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate solution.Systems Analysis — Determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes / performance. Systems Evaluation — Identify measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance relative to the goals of the system.Lead or support across system development lifecycle. Must have the ability to obtain a DoD security clearanceQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Physics, or related Engineering discipline with a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.Preferred Additional Skills:Demonstrated experience within the EO/IR (Electro-Optical/Infra-Red) sensor field Demonstrated experience in a technical discipline supporting EO/IR sensor or component workExperience writing BOEs and supporting proposalsDemonstrated experience in the architecture, specification, implementation, simulation, test, verification, validation, and debugging Demonstrated complex problem solving and decision making — Able to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions; able to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate solutionExcellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well within and outside of the organization including customers, vendors, and leadership with minimal oversightKnowledge of military and/or NASA component specifications, design processes, and hardware test/verification procedures.L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
