Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: - Respiratory Care Practitioner credential - Registered Respiratory Therapist Certifications: - BLS Provider - One or more of the following: - Respiratory Care Practitioner - Registered Respiratory Therapist Must-Have: - Advanced Life Support credential - Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Description: Provides evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies. Assesses patients for the appropriate type and frequency of treatment. Develops a plan of care based on diagnosis. Implements and monitors patient care plans and equipment. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition. Performs advanced respiratory care modalities. Evaluates respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcomes. Educates patients and families about health conditions. Provides information about community support groups and available programs. Responds to emergency resuscitation team codes.
