Position: Resident Engineer/Construction Project Manager Location: Austin, TXJob Id: 4686 # of Openings: 1 Resident Engineer/Construction Project Manager - North Austin/Waco, TX Halff has an immediate opening for a Resident Engineer/Construction Project Manager in our North Austin or Waco, TX office. The ideal candidate will bring civil engineering experience with a focus on transportation in the consulting industry and/or working with, or for, public sector clients. Learn about Halff and our 75th Anniversary What you will do:Manage inspection and testing teams/coordinating tasks of moderate size and complexity, make decisions independently, and resolve complex problems.Manage budgets, personnel, schedules, sub consultants, and client interaction.Supports operation managers and practice leaders in business development and pursuit of construction engineering and inspection opportunities. What you will need:5+ years of project management experience in Texas.B.S. or M.S. Civil Engineering with P.E. license in Texas (or other states a plus), or ability to obtain within 6 months.DOT experience (as a DOT employee or consultant) is a must; TxDOT, is preferred.Ability to lead a project and supervise a technical staff of 5-15 employees.Possess an extensive understanding of construction standards and practices.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Flexibility to travel to construction sites for extended periods and work outside of normal business hours.Must be self-directed, yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success.The Halff Construction Services AdvantageFull spectrum of your project needs: transportation, water/wastewater, utilities, power transmission and vertical construction.
