Schedule: Part Time 20 hours/week. Benefits Eligible. Sign On Bonus: up to $10,000. Pay Rate: $41.45 - $62.18 per hour. Daily pay available. Shift Differentials: available for night, weekend, and additional shifts. Job Summary Performs diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images for interpretation. The registration requirement for this position is a registered sonographer holding two or more registries appropriate for the department(s) in which the sonographer works (e.g., ABD/OB, ABD/MSK, ABD/BR, OB/FE). Job Responsibilities Second registry must be used in primary department or secondary department 30% of the time. Set up and adjust all equipment; manually maneuver transducers to perform exams. Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures. Perform routine and complex studies and assist in a variety of imaging procedures. Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations. Ensure equipment is properly functioning; report potential problems or malfunctions to appropriate personnel; lock/tag out equipment if appropriate. Ensure prompt submission of all high-quality images and documents to PACS (image quality, correct labeling and patient data/history). Assist in maintaining a clean, orderly department including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and any other areas. Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies. Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Education Completion of a Sonography program. No experience required. Physical Requirements Constant standing and walking. Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more). Frequent use of hearing and speech for oral communication. Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds or alarms. Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0‑25 lbs. Frequent lifting/moving of patients. Frequent reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25‑50 lbs. Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors. Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Rare kneeling and sitting. Required Licenses & Certifications Completion of a Sonography program. Minimum of two registries among the following: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Abdomen (AB) Specialty – ARDMS. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Breast (BR) Specialty – ARDMS. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) Specialty – ARDMS. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Fetal Echocardiography (FE) Specialty – ARDMS. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Musculoskeletal (MSK) Specialty – ARDMS. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Vascular (VAS) Specialty – ARDMS. Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) – Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) – Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) – ARDMS.
