Hybrid Visiting Professor of Business Intelligence Analytics Management Opportunity This position is for a hybrid visiting professor in business intelligence analytics management who will teach and share industry expertise with undergraduate and graduate students. Courses meet once or twice a week for eight weeks. Face‑to‑face interaction is blended with technology (online discussions and assignments). Faculty facilitate student learning by teaching courses and programs in accordance with DeVry University requirements. Faculty develop course syllabi, lesson plans, and apply teaching techniques to achieve course objectives. All DeVry instructors participate in a faculty training program and ongoing development activities. Work hours or assignments may vary based on the University’s needs and discretion. Faculty engage in meaningful student support as demonstrated in a brief video. Responsibilities Develop and provide students with an approved DeVry University syllabus that follows campus templates, including terminal course objectives. Organize, prepare, and regularly revise all course materials. Use appropriate technological options for online technologies and course‑related software, including websites, e‑mail, and online discussions. Model effective oral and written communication that engages students, provides clarity, and improves learning. Set clear expectations by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examination dates, and weight distribution of evaluation categories. Ensure that exam content and level of material correspond to the course terminal objectives. Demonstrate consistency and fairness in exam preparation, grading, and provide timely feedback to students. Embrace and integrate responsible use of AI technologies to enhance teaching and learning outcomes. Recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools in academic work. Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications Doctorate degree in Financial Analytics, Statistics, Database Management, Market Research, Qualitative Research Methods, Applied Computer Science, Information Security, or an out‑of‑field doctorate with a minimum of 15 graduate‑course credit hours in the related discipline. Proficiency in data analysis software such as Power BI, SQL, R, Python, Tableau, Alteryx, and advanced Excel add‑ons. Subject‑matter expertise and outstanding communication skills. Commitment to ongoing professional development in instructional technology, digital literacy, and responsible AI practices. Additional requirements may apply based on state licensing or accreditation considerations. Pay Visiting professor pay is based on level, credit hours taught per 8‑week session, and location. Pay may vary in most states from $1,500 to $2,700 per 8‑week session. In the states of AZ, CA, IN, and PA, pay is an hourly rate of either $22.00 or $23.50 per hour.
