Nuclear Medicine Radiologist, Open Rank The Department of Radiology in the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is seeking a full‑time faculty member in the Nuclear Medicine division. The faculty member will provide clinical services at UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty and Research Hospital, UT Medicine, and affiliated facilities, including night and weekend coverage and ER weekend coverage as needed. Additional responsibilities include teaching medical students, supervising residents and fellows, and developing research interests within the department or in collaboration with other basic and clinical science departments. Responsibilities Provide the full range of nuclear medicine diagnostic studies and therapies. Offer on‑call coverage for nuclear medicine nights, weekends, and emergency department weekdays as required. Teach medical students and supervise residents and fellows in the nuclear medicine residency program. Participate in department meetings and contribute to the development of new clinical protocols. Collaborate with researchers in basic and clinical science departments to advance clinical and translational research. Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine (dual board certification preferred). Valid Texas State Medical License or ability to obtain one prior to employment. Demonstrated experience with the full range of nuclear medicine diagnostic studies and therapies. Experience in teaching and supervising trainees, and an established record of education and research are desired. Preferred affiliation with a level I trauma or organ transplantation program.
