- Structural Welder## CompanyNesco Resource## LocationOmaha, NE## Work ScheduleFull Time## PostedMay 21, 2026By:## Job LevelMid## IndustryManufacturing## Job DescriptionWelder on 3rd shift - Monday - Thursday 8p - 6a, OT on Friday.$20 - 26/hr. $2 shift differential\*\*Will train on days and then move to 3rd shift, Monday - Thursday 8p-6a, OT on Friday.OVERALL SUMMARYUnder direct supervision - Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSProficient in assigned welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick weldingInterpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbolsKnowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materialsWorking knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)Conventional and precision measuring instrumentsProcess inspection, certification, and documentationWelding equipment maintenanceFinish grinding applications using manual and power toolsSafety and HousekeepingRequires good attendance and punctualityOther duties as assigned by the area supervisorREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESIndividual must possess these knowledge's, skills, and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.Successful completion of an internal welding test, and the ability to achieve certificationBluco or Fitting experience strongly preferredCommunicates effectively both verbally and in writingGood math and measurement skillsAbility to read and understand engineering drawingsAbility to manage several projects simultaneouslyAble to bend, reach, push, pull and put parts into positions for welding.Able to lift 50-lbs. frequently and 100-lbs. occasionally from a floor or bench level to a welding table or fixture.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh School diploma, or equivalentOne year experience in various forms of welding, preferably in a job shop environmentPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to squat, bend, and reach overheadAbility to push and pull up to 50 lbsAbility to climb up and down trucksAbility to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential job functions of this job.The majority of the time will be inside conditions with protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes. Some work is outside working conditions with no control over weather conditions.There are high noise levels and vibration associated with this job.
