Business Systems Analyst (Data & Analytics)Location: Woodland Hills, CA (Remote/Hybrid) Type: ContractWe are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst(BSA) with 5+ years of experience and strong expertise in Data & Analytics, preferably within the Healthcare / Pharmacy (Rx) domain. The ideal candidate will work closely with Scrum teams, business stakeholders, and cross-functional IT teams to deliver Data Engineering, Reporting, and Analytics solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and data-driven decision making.Key Responsibilities:Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to data engineering and analytics solutionsTranslate business needs into functional and technical requirements for development teams Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teamsFacilitate workshops, requirement discussions, and stakeholder sign-offs Data & AnalyticsDelivery Drive delivery of Data Engineering, Reporting, and Analytics projectsWork with teams on data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehouse solutions Support development of reports and dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)Ensure data accuracy, validation, and reconciliation across systems Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with data engineers, architects, QA teams, and business teams to deliver end-to-end solutionsWork across multiple IT teams and business units to ensure seamless executionDrive alignment between data architecture, reporting, and business needs Healthcare / DomainResponsibilities (Preferred)Work with Healthcare / PBM / Rx datasets (claims, benefits, membership, provider data)Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards (HIPAA, EDI transactions)Support data-driven use cases in member services, pharmacy benefits, and analytics reportingRequired Skills & Experience5+ years of experience in Product Owner / Business Systems Analyst rolesStrong experience in Data & Analytics / Data Engineering projectsProven experience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsHands-on Experience With:User story creation, backlog management, and Agile ceremonies SQL and data analysis concepts ETL/ELT and data warehousing conceptsExperience with reporting and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos)Strong experience working with cross-functional and distributed teamsExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skillsPreferred Skills :Prior experience in Healthcare / Pharmacy (Rx) domain (Elevance preferred)Knowledge of: Claims, Membership, Provider, Benefits data HIPAA / EDI (834, 835, 837 transactions)Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake)Experience with data pipeline orchestration and APIs
